There’s a positive vibes to logo 1.
This looks more ‘Official looking’.
* If I may suggest:
(1) Black circles – less bolder
(2) Place the ‘Rising Sun’ in the mid-bottom part of circle w/ the mid-child as the ‘mid-point’ reference.
(3) Place a ‘Cross’ above the heart where it ‘curved in’, instead of the ‘flames of fire’ in Logo no.1.
** Symbolism:
APFI’s Mission of Love / Charity, Hope, & Faith to help the Kids:
(1) “Love / Heart (from Donors)”
(2) “Hope / Rising Sun (brighter tomorrow / Future)”
(3) “Faith / Cross” (‘above all’ – all these is not possible without ‘God’s Blessings’ & guidance).
Thank you!
I Like #1 for so many reasons..It’s good Feng shui all lucky colors for business organization is there. Blue, black, yellow(gold)and red. The bus indicating kids are going back to school happily through AP Foundation, Book sign of education and wisdom and the heart which is AP Foundation logo not to mention we know what heart means giving love to unfortunate kids. Logo normally should be the meaning of what you do in general its your mark. Sometimes one letter says it all..Has to be catchy by itself…Filipinos are very good in doing that..I believe the first one says it all..:)The rest I think is very common looking..The first one has it’s own identity you can tell it’s only made for APFI. I’ve seen logos like the others in other organizations..That is all I can share but of course it is still all up to you to decide..:) God Bless and more Power!
I voted for number 1 but with a bit of suggestion if I may.
Instead of that red fire coming out of the heart, why not the yellow rays like in number 3 but in the middle.
All the best….
I agree with you on that yello rays like in #3..I was thinking about that too Evelyn..Good catch actually..:)
Love #1. It’s unique and suggests positivity. The bus (the way it was drawn) is like it’s saying “going forward, hopeful and happy”. I would like sun rays in there too to add Pinoy na Pinoy flavor. 😀
I’ll go for no. 1. But if I may suggest:
1) reduce the shade of the black color on the edge of heart, or
2) copy the Heart shape of the AP Foundation logo which is AP’s initial as shown on the link http://profile.ak.fbcdn.net/object3/553/42/s70507621760_3459.jpg
Thank you
I cast my vote for logo #1 ! It jumped right out at me, fun, educational, and complete ! rock on ! \m/\m/
I’m feeling for # 1 !! Loud and clear, it encompasses all of AP’s programs. ARRIBA!!
I voted for no. 1. Kids in the school bus, says it all about the foundation.
#1 for me too!!! like it
I like #1. It looks professional and jumped right out at me. Though I would sugest to lighten up the border of the heart so it isn’t so dark.
also instead of squgly lines on the book maybe a few sentences that reprsent our mission statementof hope for all PI children.
go #1..!
i luv it,
meant 4 d kids coz its not so formal..
yihaaaaaa!
I love #1 but would really like to see AP drawn in as the driver of the van. The people in the windows could be his children starting with the youngest to the oldest.
I like #1 just because it simply says “Dream Big and Wide Hope for the Future.” Street children that will benefit from AP Foundation are the Hope and Future of their beloved country, or maybe even the universe, which is Dream Big and Wide.
Thanks everyone for all the comment.. I’ll be doing some changes about the fire and changing it into a yellow rays at the background.. Thanks for all the good feedback, it helps me alot..we will post the new sketch I did when I’m done with it today..peac out everyone!!
Yannix are you the artist? You did a very great job! Applause to you..Will add some comment at the bottom but the one on the right is awesome!! Thank you also for helping out Arnel to fulfill his dream of helping kids..God Bless you..:)
Oh..Yannix you are a great artist!! Maybe will ask your help in the near future..Keep in touch! 🙂
I still vote on no. 2.
It has clean, clear lines, ‘Official looking’, with the date/year APFI first established. The ‘Circle’ around means “Global” & it keeps everything & everyone “in place”. I still wish to make some changes in it like I’ve suggested previously… you can change the Font into ‘less formal’ or make it smaller so it doesn’t look big & bold.
The Bus in no. 1 is kinda big & it only says “Street School Project”. It’s like the Logo is just for the ‘Street School Project’. Doesn’t APFI have different projects?
I would like to think that the “APFI Mission” is not just for the ‘Street School Project’ nor just for the Kids, but also for underprivileged Families, hence the Logo is not just for the ‘Kids’.
The ‘Book of Wisdom’ suggests Education of the Kids. I agree, to write the ‘Mission statement of APFI’ on the Book, even just the beginning, if it doesn’t fit.
I hope that the “APFI Logo” will encompass or symbolize “all Mission of the APFI”.
Thank you!
🙂
Thank you to all who offered their comments! Since this is a casual survey mainly to generate your thoughts to help us with our selection, a revised Logo 1 has been submitted, incorporating most of your requests. Arnel has asked that the image be updated. Here are the 2 versions to compare:
I like the one on the right side now..If it’s possible instead of cross how about few angels..The word “Arnel Pineda Foundation Inc.” I like the color medium you use on the left side it’s more emphasize. The one on the right is too light. Gotta have strong color on that words..Then it would be cute to put Arnel’s caricature face on the bus somewhere..He can be driving kids or on the left passenger side would be cute..That’s all and everything is perfect!!! Good job! The last draw is still on Arnel..Thank you for listening to our suggestions..More power and God Bless you all for doing a good work..:)
In addition I was looking at it again..I don’t think there’s something wrong with putting black on the side of the heart coz that gives a little contrast to your art and the words..Just not too black for the taste of others..You know what I’m talking about..There should be balance of colors..Actually there’s really not much to change on the one left but some people don’t like black hehehe…But it’s art..And besides heart in reality is not all that light red..hehehe..:)
I still like #1 at the left side. The cross on the top of the heart doesn’t look right for me. It’s like the heart was stabbed with the cross. Ahhhhhh, excuse my imagination.
That’s the reason why I’m not liking the cross too much..Instead angels..How about that..Cross is symbol of suffering bad feng shui..Just like it to be more optimistic..That’s all..But we can only suggest it’s all up to them to decide..:)
For #1 on the left side, keep the fire on the top of the heart and add angel wings just like the APR logo, or keep it as is.
Wow, that’s really awesome Mr. Artist!!! Can we include our bday somewhere? march 5, 2010.. just thinking…
They are all nice.. but I liked #2 best because in the long run I believe it will encompass all APFI is about for the kids not just school projects but things like the children’s hospital.. I would like to see the cross in this one too though.. I agree with Sue Vela.. none of this is possible without God. His direction, wisdom & blessing…
Thanks Jackie! I’m also thinking ‘ahead to the Future’, when APFI will serve not just the Kids but the ‘entire Family’ & ‘Community’. Right now, APFI is already serving the Kids & also the families. I would like to think that the Logo will last a Lifetime & will reflect the ‘expanded Mission’ of APFI in the Future, not just ‘locally’ but ‘Globally’.
Yes Tessang, it needs the ‘birth date’, like in no. 2 = “2010”, or “03.05.2010” or “03.2010”
Thanks Mr. Artist for the update… I’m still ‘concerned’ about the “School Bus” with “Street School Project” on it… the other Logos also have “Street School Project” on them, except no. 2. In my opinion, they do not represent the whole APFI Mission, only a part of its Mission.
You don’t have to write “Dream big & Wide… Hope for the Future” around the heart… the name “APFI” alone suggests it’s ‘Making Dreams a reality’, it’s the ‘Hope for the Future’ of the Kids & families, as well as it “Provides relief in times of needs: hunger, sickness, disasters, etc…”
I’m glad you put a Cross on the top. Let’s not forget ‘Him’ who makes all things possible…
I hope we’ll see more ‘revised’ Logos… this is something that you really have to think / plan hard before making it ‘Official’. It should be simple but “symbolize everything” APFI stands for in its Mission, now, & in the Future …
Thanks for considering our suggestions!
😉
So Yannix did logo #1. Great job, friend.I voted for #1 previously but I love the revised #1 edition even more. What a difference the yellow sunshine rays, the deleted black halo around the heart, the softening of the black border on “Arnel Pineda Foundation, Inc.”, the highlighting of the words “Street School” and the addition of the cross made over all for this version. This emblem captures the very important children friendly look to captivate them to check it out when they see it on the run and at the same time embodies the vision and the mission of Arnel to help enhance the lives of children through the promotion of education. Well done,Yannix. God bless AP for all the inspiration and initiative everyone draws from him to perform, partake, love and enjoy what they do at this remarkable level. Once again, there is hope the world looks and will look brighter for these children. Thanks, Arnel, Cherry, one and all….
I voted for #2. It looks more professional and more positive. Most of you voted for #1 but has failed to notice that the bus looks sad (look at the bumper/grill face). Really nothing wrong with the old #1 logo except for what i mentioned but #2 is more professional and is more user-friendly especially if the logo will be incorporated into items like shirts, hats, mugs, etc. And also, logo #2 is more user-friendly with other projects in mind. Logo #1 suits best if it is for the School Street Project, but what happens when APFI does other projects like a Medical Mission, it won’t fit. Just my thoughts……
Thanks again everyone for the comments..I’ll b sending the 3rd new logo as what the directors wanted ang ma’am cherry..thanks again everyone.. I did manual sketch on the logo that’s why it took me few hours to finish the 2nd one.. And I’m going to make a Manual sketch again for the third one tomorrow..
Thanks for the words and comment.. All of the logos are good for me, so what the people, directors and ma’am cherry and sir Ap will be choosing is up to them.. As long as we all show support and heart to it..
Thank u again to all for believing in my sketch.. Peace out everyone..
Yannix
Version 3 of Logo 1 is up. Thank you!
Good Job!! I think it’s perfect..I didn’t see that there’s Philippine map on the cross..The yellow rays actually give positive attitude to the cross…Now your “slogan” Is this only focus on “children education vehicle”? or in the near future there’s some sort of expansion you guys want to do..Coz if you do…Then you can pick a different slogan like…Charity and Hope for our children future… Something like that..But I’m sure you guys can pick and think of better slogan than that..But everything is all nice!! You did a very good job Yannix..:) Hugss!!! to you..God Bless you all for doing a great job!!
This has been dramatically getting better and better. IMHO, I also think we should consider adding “Let us Love, Hope, Give”
somewhere in the other half of the book page to cover all of the APFInc missions and visions. Also if I may point out that there is not enough space that separate INC from Foundation. It comes out as one connected word Foudationinc I think. Thank you for reading. Good luck to all and Yannix you had been wonderful all throughout these changes. God bless AP and APFI and everything it stands for. My best to all.
Or simply “Our Love, Hope, Gift to You’ on the left half of the book. Thanks
Maybe add sketch of 2 open palms or praying hands with those words. IMHO. Thanks again.
Most of us is choosing logo #1, since it was revised twice, why not make the choices to logo#1A(original), #1B 1st revision, #1C 2nd revision, and I’m sure there’ll be anothere revision on logo #1. I still like the original.
I like the logo # 2 of 4 coz it’s plain and simple and there is a date when it was established, kids symbol looks good, logo makes good stamp, round symbol is endless.
I’m beginning to love the logo, there’s a touch of AP.. or a touch of ROCK into it, and some are touch of his fans and friends.. that,s what we want to achieve. I love this POLL, its really a collaboration of LOVE! Yannix, you did great… just be patient with us we just want the LOGO to be perfectly AP and US… Thanks for a wonderful job!
tnx APFI for being open to suggestions..
but the final say will depend on the board members..=D
I luv d revised logo 1 with the sun rays and cross concepts..
but i prefer to retain the shading of the graphics from the original version, except make the shading of the heart a bit finer..
also, maybe the ‘street school project’ on the bus be replaced with a broader scope for the APFI..
‘Journey to the future’, or ‘a ride worth the while’,
or whatever you think is more suiting.hehehe..
i agree with ate tessang with the inclusion of the APFI birthdate..=D
of course, it would be great to see one of nonnon’s masterpiece inside the bus as well..
an AP smiley’s always luvable 2 see..
thats only my opinion, its really upto you guyz..
P.S.
right after choosing the official logo,
i suggest it be printed for APFI merchandise shirts, etc soon..*wink!
yahoooo!!
here’s the link for my choice:

The voting has ended but the search continues! Logo 1 earned the most votes (albeit not unanimous); however from the comments received via posts and emails from everyone, the decision currently pends on Arnel’s final say. At this point, we are accepting submissions for more logo designs and starting a dedicated thread for it.
I would say Logo 1.
